What happens when bright young minds step out of the classroom and into the world of real entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership?

That’s exactly what students from Woodrose School experienced during their one-week Study Tour at the Academy of Entrepreneurs in Sydney, Australia — a week packed with inspiring lessons, powerful mentorship, cultural adventures, and unforgettable memories.
This wasn’t your typical study trip. It was a transformational journey that blended business, creativity, empathy, and fun, helping students see what’s possible when you lead with purpose.
Day 1: Welcome to Sydney — Leading with Empathy & Global Vision
The adventure began in the heart of Sydney with a visit to the Sydney Wildlife Zoo, where students met kangaroos, koalas, and other Australian icons. It was the perfect start — a reminder that every great leader begins by connecting with their environment and community.
After soaking in the sights, the students joined an inspiring session at the Academy of Entrepreneurs: the Emotional Intelligence Leadership Workshop. Here, they learned how true leadership isn’t about titles or power — it’s about empathy, self-awareness, and influence.
Later, they dove into global conversations at the European Union Trade & Tourism Empowerment Masterclass and even visited the Croatian Diplomatic Office, gaining insights into how international diplomacy connects with entrepreneurship and innovation.

The day ended on a high note — dinner in the city followed by breathtaking fireworks over Darling Harbour. It wasn’t just sightseeing — it was a celebration of curiosity, courage, and connection.
Day 2: Turning Problems into Opportunities & Leading with AI
The second day sparked creativity and purpose. The students returned to the Academy for a powerful session with Anne-Marie, who guided them through “Turning Community Problems into Opportunities.” They learned to identify local challenges — and transform them into business solutions that make a difference.

Then came Eli’s AI Masterclass — a crash course in how artificial intelligence can be used ethically to boost productivity and create social impact. Students were amazed as they explored how technology and humanity can work hand-in-hand for good.
The day ended with laughter, food, and shopping at Paddy’s Market, where students bonded over souvenirs and Sydney’s vibrant local culture.
Day 3: Creativity, Prototyping & Innovation Unleashed
Day 3 was all about bringing ideas to life.
In Angela’s Prototyping Workshop, students learned how to take their business ideas from concept to creation — turning imagination into tangible models they could test and improve. Whether it was a tech product, app, or social project, students experienced what it truly means to build something real.
Next, Dayanna’s Digital Marketing for Impact masterclass showed how powerful storytelling can spread positive change. Students learned how to use digital platforms to inspire, influence, and connect.
Then came Pablo’s Creativity & Innovation Masterclass — a crowd favorite. With high energy and interactive challenges, Pablo taught that innovation starts with courage — the courage to think differently, to fail fast, and to dream bigger.

To cap off a perfect day, students walked to St. Mary’s Cathedral, had dinner in the city, and watched the fireworks at Darling Harbour, once again lighting up their night with inspiration.
Day 4: Innovation in Action – From UTS to the Boardroom
The day began with an eye-opening visit to the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where students got a glimpse of cutting-edge research, design, and innovation in action. The university’s modern campus showed them how creativity and technology can shape the future of learning and business.

Back at the Academy, the group joined a Business Pitch Mentoring Workshop with Tarek, a TED coach and storytelling expert. Through his guidance, they learned how to pitch their ideas with confidence, passion, and clarity — skills that will last a lifetime.
The day ended with a fun and relaxing shopping trip, giving students time to enjoy Sydney’s culture and celebrate how far they’d come.
Day 5: Learning from Real-World Changemakers
Day 5 took students beyond the classroom and into the real world of impact.
They visited a local social enterprise, where they saw firsthand how businesses can solve community challenges through innovation and compassion. From helping the environment to empowering people, students learned that entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful tools for change.
Next, they visited Amazon, exploring how global companies innovate and operate at scale. It was a rare peek into the world of tech, logistics, and customer obsession.
To wrap up the day, they enjoyed a dinner by the Sydney Opera House, surrounded by glittering lights and stunning harbour views. It was the perfect place to reflect on their journey, how much they’d learned, grown, and laughed together.
Day 6: The Grand Finale — Pitch Day!
The final day was all about courage and celebration. Back at the Academy, students had personalized Business and Pitching Mentoring sessions with Giovanni, refining their ideas one last time before stepping into the spotlight.

Then came Pitch Day — where every student presented their business idea in front of their peers and mentors. The energy in the room was electric as students showcased their creativity, confidence, and purpose.
From tech startups to social initiatives, every pitch proved one thing: these young minds are ready to change the world.
Day 7: Farewell — But Just the Beginning
As the week came to a close, the students prepared to fly back to Manila — filled with new experiences, new friendships, and a renewed sense of purpose.
The Woodrose Study Tour wasn’t just a trip. It was a transformation. It taught students that leadership starts with empathy, innovation begins with curiosity, and success grows from courage.
Every session, every mentor, every moment — brought them one step closer to becoming the changemakers of tomorrow.
